En Garde Fencing offers Olympic fencing, HEMA fencing, Youth HEMA, historical European martial arts, Japanese sword, broadsword, LED sabers, archery, and Cutting Edge Fitness and Warrior Strength classes. The program includes fencing and archery options that children and adults can take at the same time, with open sparring time for adults after classes in some schedules described by participants.

En Garde Fencing was founded in January of 2008. The owner and head coach, Jim Liebich, earned his Moniteur teaching degree from the United States Fencing Coach’s Association in both foil and épée. The coaching staff includes Jim Liebich (Owner, Head Coach, Moniteur), Joel Overly (Coach), Dimitri Elias Nicholson (Coach), and Ivar Bjornsson (Coach). Jim Liebich is a former Vice-Chair of the Northern California Division of the United States Fencing Association and a current member of the Executive Committee. He also teaches beginning fencing at Sonoma State University and conducts demonstrations around Sonoma County to promote the sport of fencing. En Garde Fencing states that it is unique in Sonoma County in what it teaches and that it offers fencing for all ages and the art of the sword in Santa Rosa, including Historical European Martial Arts as a sport for all ages. One parent reports that they took a broadsword class while their child took a fencing class, followed by adult sparring time and archery, and describes a range of fun exercise activities. Other parents and participants describe friendly instructors, a wide range of equipment, and experiences that include making friends, learning fair play, and enjoying both archery and fencing.
