Lim Karate LFMA - Lim Family Martial Arts offers training in Hawaii Kenpo, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and a Kinder Kenpo program. Classes take place at Lim Family Martial Arts school and include both kids’ classes and teens and adults’ classes during the week.

The leadership team includes Papa George Lim, Sensei Michael Kiyoshi Lim, and Patrice Lim Hanshi. Sensei Kiyoshi Lim started his martial arts training as a child in Hawaii Kenpo under his father, Sōke George Lim, and was promoted to black belt directly from him. He is currently training in and teaching Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and has medaled in every Jiu Jitsu competition he has fought in. Papa George Lim was born in Yokohama, Japan, trained in Hawaii, and has over 40 years of martial arts experience, and he was promoted by GGM Al Tracy. Patrice Lim Hanshi began her training in Hawaii Kenpo in 1983 under Papa George Lim and was promoted to black belt in 1991 by “Chief” Al Tejero.
The Kinder Kenpo program prepares pre-school and kinder kids for school, social relationships, learning, and physical exercise. Hawaii Kenpo is described as an original martial art believed to be hundreds of years old and considered to be one of the most direct links to ancient wisdom due to the remoteness of the Hawaiian Islands. The Lim Family is an international organization with schools in Arizona, Wyoming, South Dakota, Portugal, Austria, Sweden, and Germany. The program’s mission statement says that through their teaching they encourage students to stretch their limits, build their confidence, and make their dreams a reality, and that martial arts is their life and passion.
The school states that it honors past and present Masters of the Hawaiian martial arts with a martial arts family that circles the globe. One parent testimonial from Justin and Khrystyn says they like that the kids have to earn their stripes and that they are not just given away.
