Disney Imagination Campus – Performing Arts Workshops

Disney Imagination Campus – Performing Arts Workshops includes the Dance Disney Workshop, the Soundtrack Sessions: Instrumental Workshop, and the Soundtrack Sessions: Vocal Workshop. The Dance Disney Workshop includes choreography and staging techniques from Disney Live Entertainment professionals, and participants can talk with industry veterans about the audition process and career advice. The Soundtrack Sessions: Vocal Workshop works with Disney teaching-artists, and students must be able to read music.

Programs

• Dance Disney Workshop — Recommended for middle school, high school and college dancers with at least 3 years of experience; content can be adapted for dancers as young as 7 years old · Participants learn choreography and staging techniques from Disney Live Entertainment professionals and can talk with industry veterans about the audition process, get career advice, and more.
• Soundtrack Sessions: Instrumental Workshop — Available for middle school, high school and college students
• Soundtrack Sessions: Vocal Workshop — Available for elementary school, middle school, high school and college students; students must be able to read music · At the Disneyland Resort in California, middle school students require an audition; students work directly with Disney teaching-artists.

About the provider

The mission statement says Disney Imagination Campus provides students with the tools they need to express themselves creatively and academically, so they are prepared for real-world challenges. The Disney Difference states that participants work directly with Disney Teaching Artists, and the workshops meet many of the National Core Arts Standards and are endorsed by the National Association for Music Education.

Choreography can be adjusted to suit the group's ability level. Both Disney and non-Disney songs are included in the Disney Imagination Campus song list, but non-Disney song requests cannot be reviewed; strictly instrumental songs are always accepted. At Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, a minimum of 15 performers is required per organized group to participate in this experience.
