Since 1997, The Reading Clinic has been helping students become more successful in school through one-to-one tutoring in reading, comprehension, spelling, writing, verbal expression, language comprehension, and math. As an academic remediation and learning center, it focuses on enhanced academic performance and self-esteem and provides students with a safe and accepting environment, engaging them in an ongoing process of discovery. The Reading Clinic is a Bay Area non profit offering multi-sensory tutoring for reading, writing, comprehension, and dyslexia, and it uses and adapts research based multi-sensory programs. It offers 1-to-1 dialogue-based instruction for children behind grade level and for children with learning differences or learning disabilities such as dyslexia, ADHD, and ASD, and creates customized solutions to strengthen foundational academic abilities. Its programs integrate multisensory, research based methodologies and have helped thousands of children who were behind several grade levels in reading, writing, and math to work independently at grade level, and have also helped children who were at grade level or in gifted programs to achieve mastery and enhance academic performance in language arts and math. The Reading Clinic is now a non profit organization helping Bay Area children with reading, writing, comprehension, expression, and writing, and it has four locations in the Bay Area, including San Francisco. Rich is the Manager of The Reading Clinic.
