About

Redwood Glen Summer Camp includes activities such as a climbing tower, time in a swimming pool, and campfire gatherings. The program is part of a setting where campers laugh with friends, face challenges, and grow in faith. Experiences at the camp are described as building confidence, joy, and a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.

• Ages: 6–17 years old
• Price: Campers come to laugh, explore, and grow in faith—often paying little to nothing to attend.

Since 1945, Redwood Glen has been a ministry of The Salvation Army. The camp’s mission states that it wants people to seek, experience, and fully know Jesus, and that it believes He is the hope of the world. The mission also explains that it values discovery through play, adventure, and an appreciation for nature as a way to know the God of creation. It describes an intentional community that focuses on perseverance, honesty, strong character, and meeting basic human needs such as food, shelter, and belonging.

Redwood Glen notes that campers and guests nurture faith, build community, and experience life change in a welcoming, inspiring environment. It also offers a year-long discipleship and leadership journey for young adults called Sequoia Leadership, which combines wilderness adventure, spiritual formation, and hands-on ministry experience. The camp states that every retreat contributes to giving at-risk and low-income youth a safe, joyful place to encounter God. General camp inquiries are directed to Mitchell McWilliams, Assistant Camp Director, and guest group retreat and day use inquiries are directed to Julia Kleemann, Guest Services Manager.
