School Garden Network Summer Garden Camp

School Garden Network Summer Garden Camp includes hands-on activities such as gardening, food preparation, nature journaling, natural dyeing, solar cooking, cob bench building, bird feeder construction, watercolor painting, herbal medicine making, and nature exploration. The program has engaged 105 campers in these outdoor learning experiences and has provided 39 scholarships. Camp activities focus on connections to nature, food systems, and healthy eating through garden-based education.

The School Garden Network’s mission is to grow healthy students, families, schools, and communities through garden-based education. The organization supports a network of more than 160 schools and 52,000 students across Sonoma County and neighboring communities, working with educators, businesses, community partners, and volunteers to create outdoor learning spaces that foster health, well-being, and environmental stewardship. The Executive Director of the School Garden Network is Sue Davis.
