Art Escape

Art Escape offers hands-on visual arts programs that include Summer Camps, free family-art workshops and events, and enriching classes for children, teens, and adults. The program also offers art workshops tailored to special events, private workshops for birthday parties and corporate gatherings, and solo shows in the gallery. Participants can take part in Group Glassblowing Workshops, Private Glassblowing Lessons, and on-premise glassblowing and torch-work classes and team-building workshops for teens and adults, and can access programs through the mobile art studio “Art Van Gogh,” which delivers art programs and kits and serves as an on-location art education studio.

Art Escape was founded in 2012 by Sonoma Valley arts educators and is a 501c(3) non-profit organization. Its core tuition-free programs include Teen Maker Studio, Free Friday, Flying Colors, Mini Makers, and Relatos y Tesoros. Art Escape partners with local schools and art non-profits as part of the greater Sonoma Valley art community, and offers ongoing art programs designed to enhance local elementary school curriculum. Over 20,000 youth, teens, and adults have participated in its visual art programs, with over 75% returning to engage in more programs and events, and many students later returning as instructors and mentors. The organization’s mission states that it provides affordable hands-on visual arts programs, workshops, and events that cultivate greater understanding and appreciation of Sonoma Valley’s rich diversity and creative spirit, foster important life skills, and offer accessible opportunities for artistic expression and education through collaborative projects, workshops, and exhibitions, supported by donors and the community.
