About the Class
Discover the basic techniques of acrylic painting; blending, texturizing, brush handling and detailing. Starting out from a blank canvas the students will learn how to set up a palette, blend colors, and how to create depth and texture. Each class will cover a new technique, connected to the next session.
Please note: A minimum number of students is needed to run this class.
About your Instructor
Napa based art instructor Terese Edestam has a background in Information Design with focus on Illustration, Graphic Design, and Fine Arts. In 2020 Terese founded edestam ART with the intention to offer youth art classes structured to give students a well rounded experience of theory and practice of art. Starting out in a private capacity, Terese has since taught art within the Napa Unified School District, Napa Valley Office of Education, and the diRosa Center for Contemporary Art. In addition she has developed and executed her own art camps. For the past year Terese serves as a board member of Arts Council Napa Valley and is a committee member of the Napa Valley Arts Council's Sustainability Committee since 2023. In her spare time Terese enjoys discovering new places with her family, spending time with friends and take long walks in nature.
