Sonoma Conservatory of Dance

Sonoma Conservatory of Dance offers Come Soar classes for children 18 months to 6 years old, with Dancing Ducklings, Friendly Finches, Dazzling Firebirds, Beautiful Bluebirds, and Graceful Swans. It also offers Elementary I and Elementary II for students 7 and older, based on the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabi, plus Dance Camp with Musical Theatre, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Appalachian Clogging, and Haitian Dance.

• Elementary I — 7+ years of age · Wednesday 4:45-6:00 pm; Friday 4:00-5:15 pm · Based on the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Grades 1 and 2 syllabi.
• Elementary II — 7+ years of age · Tuesday 4:30-6:00 pm; Thursday 4:00-5:30 pm · The 2-year curriculum is based on the RAD Grades 3 and 4 syllabi.
• Dance Camp — 4 to 6 years old · June 15-19, 2026; July 6-10, 2026 · $325 per week · Musical Theatre - Drama & Dancing to favorite songs from Frozen; Jazz.
• Dance Camp — 6 to 9 years old · June 22-26, 2026; July 13-17, 2026 · $390 per week · Tap; Jazz.
• Dance Camp — 9 years and older · July 20-24, 2026; July 27-31, 2026; August 3-7, 2026 · $425 per week · Contemporary; Appalachian Clogging; Haitian Dance.
• Summer Intensive — 12 years and older · July 20-24, 2026; July 27-31, 2026; August 3-7, 2026 · $425 per week · Contemporary; Appalachian Clogging; Haitian Dance.

About the provider

Founded as Sonoma Ballet Conservatory in 1970, the program was renamed Sonoma Conservatory of Dance in 2005. Its mission is nurturing the growth and expression of young people through the art and discipline of dance, and expanding access to high-quality dance education so all can participate, regardless of financial circumstances. The studio says it serves the Sonoma community and offers a place for the community to gather and enjoy performances.

No previous dance experience necessary to start. Students are expected to make up missed classes as soon as possible. Jewelry is discouraged. Hair should be secured up and away from the face and neck. Street clothes are not allowed for dance classes. Performance opportunities are available at the Graceful Swan level and for some camp participants enrolled in school-year classes.
