Sonoma Little League offers youth baseball through organized leagues and camps. The program includes activities on local ball fields and uses field cameras at Teeter Field and Hughes Field. Families and community members can also take part in league events such as Opening Day and tournaments.
• Ages: 5–12 years old
• Schedule: Monthly board meetings on the first Monday of the month at 7:00 PM, with dates that may change due to holidays or other scheduling conflicts
Sonoma Little League serves more than 300 players each year through leagues and camps built around fundamentals, sportsmanship, fairness, and a love for the game. It is a volunteer-run nonprofit, and every donation goes back into player experience, equipment, scholarships, and maintaining safe, well-kept fields. The program welcomes all families, works to include every ethnicity and gender, and supports players with disabilities. The Board of Directors meets monthly to review league operations, finances, safety, and upcoming events, and meeting agendas and minutes are posted so families can stay informed. Members and guests are welcome to attend board meetings.
Sonoma Little League Baseball started in 1951 and will celebrate its 75th season with Opening Day on Friday, March 13 at the ball fields. The league’s leadership includes a Board Secretary, Tony Moll. The community is invited to fill the stands and help kick off each season. Sonoma Little League hosts the District 53 11U Little League All-Star Tournament in Sonoma, where over 70 Little League players from neighboring cities participate. Sonoma Valley’s Lincoln Subaie, a 14-year-old native and alum of Sonoma Little League, was selected to the USA Baseball Northwest Region National team.
Sonoma Little League runs an Adopt a Tree legacy giving fundraiser that supports continued field maintenance and long-term upkeep at Hughes and Teeter Fields. Sonoma Little League sponsorships help fund uniforms, equipment, field upkeep, and scholarships and provide local exposure at the ballfields.
