About
Pets Lifeline Summer Camp includes hands-on activities, educational workshops, projects, and group games. Campers have supervised playtime with shelter animals, including time to play with dogs and spend time with kitties. The program also includes yoga and stretch time, reading to the dogs, and sessions to learn about veterinary medicine.
• Ages: 4–11 years old
• Schedule: Monday–Thursday camps with morning sessions for ages 4–7 and longer day sessions for ages 8–11, with optional extended day care for all ages
• Price: $229 per week per student for Summer Camp; Extended Day Rate is $159 per week per student
Pets Lifeline Summer Camp takes place at the Pets Lifeline Animal Resource Center. All camp weeks run Monday through Thursday, with 4–7 year olds attending from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and 8–11 year olds attending from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, and optional extended day care from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm for ages 4–7 and 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm for ages 8–11. Campers interact with animals while learning lessons about compassion, empathy, and pet care, gain understanding of animal behavior and basic training techniques, and focus on responsible pet ownership and animal welfare through activities tailored to showcase the unique personalities of cats and dogs. Extended day is available for all ages, and camp themes are subject to change based on shelter activities.
Pets Lifeline Summer Camp is part of Pets Lifeline’s 22nd Annual Summer Camp in 2026. Instructors include Maria Kraft, Casey Trujillo, David Sporrong, Josh Kraft, Linda Murphy, and special guests. Pets Lifeline’s mission is to protect and improve the lives of Sonoma Valley’s dogs and cats in need through sheltering and adoption, humane education, and community programs.
Pets Lifeline has been awarded Nonprofit of the Year for its dedication to animals and pet owners in Sonoma Valley, and Sonoma has earned certification through Pets Lifeline as a pet-friendly city by the Better Cities For Pets program. Community events support this work, and Pets Lifeline has partnered with online pet retailer Chewy to provide eight shelters in Sonoma County with food and supplies. Testimonials describe Pets Lifeline as working to ensure pets are cared for in every way, reuniting lost pets with their owners, giving strays a second chance at a loving home, and helping with the pet population via its spay/neuter program.
