Intensive Law & Trial includes a mock trial simulation where participants step into the role of a trial attorney or witness and take part in a full-scale mock trial in a real courtroom, including opening arguments, objections, and a final verdict. The program includes hearing from Stanford Law faculty and experienced attorneys, exploring topics like evidence, hearsay, tort law, and courtroom procedure, and working on public speaking, legal writing, and analytical thinking. Participants also take part in city exploration, visiting attractions such as Fisherman’s Wharf and Pier 39, and join evening activities such as a scavenger hunt, quiz show night, and a lip sync battle.

Intensive Law & Trial is offered in collaboration with Stanford Law School as an advanced program for highly motivated high school students who want a deep dive into trial law and legal education. The program includes hands-on experience in theory, litigation, trial preparation, and public speaking; opportunities to meet inspiring legal professionals; attend lectures from Stanford faculty; collaborate with peers to build and present a case; explore legal ethics; and explore the college and law school admissions process. Qualified students can earn two college credits, included with tuition, through George Mason University, and the program wraps with the mock trial simulation where students step into the roles of attorneys and witnesses.
Envision, part of the WorldStrides family, has for over 40 years helped students from elementary through high school explore their interests.
