Marin Outdoor Adventures offers surf lessons, guided hikes, mindfulness in nature experiences, Therapeutic Adventure Experiences, Mindfulness in Nature for groups or individuals, Personal Training either outdoors or at the gym, and Breath Awareness workshops. The program offers lessons for all ages starting at 5 years old, and for kids ages 5–8 a private lesson is required. Beginner group lessons use equipment paid for directly at the Stinson Beach Surf and Kayak Shop, while private lesson equipment is paid for at booking and brought by the instructor.

Owner Nicki Clark is a certified meditation in nature facilitator, an ISA level 1 surf coach, and certified in ocean rescue. The leadership team includes Lead Surf Coaches Thane Schultz, Cecilia Figueroa, Steve Ratcliff, Meg Campbell (also Head of the Under the Sun Project), and Katrina Paz; Mindfulness Teacher and Nature Guide Barbara Juniper; Surf Coach Shannon Collier (also referred to as Shannon Gray); and Hiking Guide Nick Nutu. The program states that it usually maintains a 3:1 student-to-coach ratio and never more than 5:1, and that its team of experienced instructors welcomes students of all ages and skill levels for a safe, fun, and educational surfing experience.
Marin Outdoor Adventures states that it believes connecting with nature brings joy and leads to a more fulfilling and healthy life for both individuals and the planet, and that its mission is to help people discover the joy and beauty of nature while promoting appreciation for and protection of the natural world. The program highlights that it is women owned and operated, emphasizes Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, welcomes people of all ages, races, gender identities, sexual orientations, and abilities, and offers programs on a sliding scale to serve people from Marin County regardless of income level and socioeconomic status. Marin Outdoor Adventures supports non-profit organizations, works to increase representation and access for BIPOC and underserved communities in Marin County through engagement with local organizations, and is launching the Under the Sun Project to engage young women and girls in surfing, land stewardship, and art without the barrier of cost.
