El Concilio Preschool Centers / Early Childhood Development Centers use a research-based curriculum for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children. The centers provide comprehensive early education that is matched to each stage of development for these age groups. El Concilio offers a variety of services across eight departments to high-risk youth, infants, families, and adults, and services are provided to all who enter their doors. El Concilio also provides expansive bilingual services that address the needs of multiple generations.
• Ages: 0–5 years old
• Schedule: Office hours Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with closure for lunch from 12pm–1pm
Founded in 1968, El Concilio’s mission is “empowering diverse communities in California’s Central Valley.” El Concilio is described as one of the largest community-based, nonprofit social service providers in California’s Central Valley, as well as the largest Latino-based nonprofit agency in the region and a nationally recognized leader for five decades. It is an affiliate of UnidosUS and serves high-risk youth, infants, families, and adults representing primarily the Hispanic population of the Central Valley. El Concilio impacts the lives of over 25,000 families from all cultural backgrounds throughout California’s Central Valley every year and serves over 75,000 individuals annually across an eleven-site network that includes nine preschools, three community centers, two immigration centers, a senior services center, job readiness centers, family wellness, and a behavioral health center.
