Stockton Ballet School

Stockton Ballet School offers ballet, tap, and jazz classes. Its youth classes include Creative Movement at age 4, Pre-Ballet at age 5, Elementary I-II for ages 6-8, Basic I-III for ages 9-12, Junior I-III for ages 13-15, and Teen I-II for ages 11-15 with no dance experience. Creative Movement and Pre-Ballet include props and pantomime, and the school also offers Beginning I-II, Intermediate I-III, and Advanced I-III for adults ages 16 and up.

About the provider

Stockton Ballet School says its mission is: "It's always about you." The mission statement says the school is devoted to the dancer within and to preparing students to achieve their goals and nurture a lifelong love of dance. The dance year runs from September to June, and an Intensive Session is given during the summer. The school’s climate-controlled dance rooms are equipped with high quality sound equipment, professional surfaced sprung floors, and air purifiers.

Dancers with experience who are new to Stockton Ballet School are accepted as long as there is availability in class. Students new to Dance are encouraged to begin by January or during our Summer Session. Dancers will be placed in dance classes according to their abilities and experience; the director and faculty make all placement decisions. The ages shown are only guidelines.
