Kids In Nutrition Education Program brings teams of volunteer university student KINstructors into elementary classrooms to lead lessons that include interactive visuals, hands-on games, physical activities, personal reflection, and group work. The program focuses on nutrition and food systems education and uses a university-to-elementary student peer mentorship approach with evidence-based and culturally relevant lessons. Family Engagement resources are also included to involve and inform caregivers.
• Ages: 8–11 years old

Kids In Nutrition (KIN) is a nationwide student-led movement that focuses on food literacy and access, with work centered on marginalized communities. Kids In Nutrition is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and has been active from 2014–2026. KIN seeks to partner and collaborate with like-minded individuals, businesses, non-profits, and media platforms, and offers grassroots educational services that connect youth with youth nationwide.
