The center states that it enriches lives and teaches valuable skills students will use for the rest of their lives, and that it encourages self-perfection, both physically and mentally, in a fun, gentle, and accepting environment. Grandmaster Kim is the founder of KM2A Learning Center and the ASSA TKD 9+9 program, and he has numerous awards and accolades to his name, with the most important on display in both studios. He left his native Korea, lived in Spain for twenty-one years, moved to the United States in 1991, has been a resident of California since then, and is described as understanding both Eastern and Western approaches to teaching and lifestyles and as an avid lifelong learner in education and philosophy. Junior Master Sun Kim, a California native, teaches at KM2A Sunnyvale and is described as quickly creating a program where students become leaders and rely on their own self-confidence and self-discipline as they grow through Tae Kwon Do.

The program offers after school classes with shuttle rides, and its fleet of vans can pick up children from school to one of its facilities. Teachers and tutors help children with homework and put them on the path to academic success. School pickup is available in Cupertino, Mountain View, San Jose, Santa Clara, and Sunnyvale, and the program reports serving more than 12 school districts located in Sunnyvale and Santa Clara.

A parent testimonial states: “We are very happy with the after-school program and summer camp. The kids love the Tae Kwon Do instruction. The facility is clean and the staff is very helpful and kind. They do school pickups which is a huge help for our family. I can't say enough great things about KM2A.” This quote is sourced from Yelp.
