LA County Parks Youth & Family Programs offers activities such as family field trips, day camps, after-school programs, reading programs, toy loan programs, and mommy and me programs. Children and teens can take part in arts and recreation options including painting, learning numbers and letters, singing, dancing, outdoor recreation activities, play areas, splash pads, sports, field trips, dances, arts and crafts, music, baseball, basketball, soccer, swimming, cheerleading classes, and educational field trips. The programs also include junior golf, junior lifeguard, junior ranger, junior programs taught by highly trained teachers, and the Our SPOT – Social Places and Opportunities for Teens after-school program for teens ages 12–18.

• Schedule: Tiny Tots sessions run Monday–Thursday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and aquatic exercise and aqua aerobics classes have morning and afternoon time slots on weekdays and Saturdays.

LA County Parks Youth & Family Programs also offers homework assistance, mentoring, volunteer work, early literacy, math, movement, play, aquatic exercise, aqua aerobics, health screenings, grief counseling, Alzheimer’s education, caregiver support, and social services and case management. The EveryBody Plays drop-in recreation program anticipates serving over 20,000 youth and offers structured activities and field trips, in addition to Capers and ESTEAM. LA County Parks’ Tiny Tots program helps children ages 3–5 prepare for preschool through interactive learning, and children in Tiny Tots must be potty-independent. Parents must supervise their children at all times while using the splash pad, and children must be attended at all times in the Summer Lunch program, where meals are prepared through assorted vendors and provided by Parks & Recreation staff, with meals limited to one per child.
Our SPOT is a free after-school program for teens ages 12–18 that is back in-person at locations throughout Los Angeles County and provides a place where teens can check-in daily, Monday through Friday all year long. The teen club provides youth with a place to come together and have fun in a safe, supportive environment, and cheerleading classes are for both boys and girls. Hot, nutritious meals are available at select Senior Centers and Senior Programs locations through County-funded agencies, San Angelo Park Senior Program offers grab and go meals on Fridays, Lennox Park Senior Program nutrition is coming soon, and El Cariso Regional Park Senior Program has no Nutrition Program.
