About
Drawn2Art offers instruction in realistic drawing, painting, clay sculpture, still-life, figure drawing, portraiture, landscapes, realistic animals, cartooning, and animation. Students work with a range of mediums, including pencil, colored pencil, crayon and watercolor crayon, markers, pen and ink, charcoal, watercolor, acrylic, and oil paint. The program uses a step-by-step method that begins with simpler two-dimensional drawing and then progresses to adding tone and color values to create three-dimensionality.

• Schedule: Classes are held year-round for consistency and steady advancement.
Drawn2Art has been family owned and operated since 1986 and has prioritized quality of art education above all else. The program is devoted to teaching skill-based fundamentals and follows the philosophy that “creativity follows mastery,” with a focus on building a strong foundation of artistic skills so students can eventually follow any artistic path they choose. Beginning, intermediate, and advanced students are taught from individualized, written programs according to their personal abilities, proficiencies, interests, and special needs, which allows students to move ahead at their own pace. The curriculum and mediums used are varied and are designed, reviewed, and updated using feedback from teachers and students, and the program states that it does not promote rote teaching but promotes purposeful teaching with the goal of raising students’ competency from lesson to lesson.
Drawn2Art describes itself as a high quality, fine art program that goes far beyond cut and paste and arts and crafts, and it teaches students to “see” lines, shapes, color, and tones in objects and in life to understand the fundamentals of drawing and painting. The program states that it prides itself on being inspirational art educators enhancing visual intelligence in students.
