Kung Fu Acting Star Academy offers Kung Fu training and acting training that includes Wushu Kung Fu, Taichi, Sanda Kickboxing, a Hollywood Action Movie Workshop, and a Kids Acting Class. Kung Fu Acting Star Academy has a legacy of over three decades in coaching. The academy states that it is dedicated to providing Kung Fu training and acting training to individuals of all ages. Founder Jing Li, also referred to as Master Jing Li, is a champion athlete from the Beijing Wushu Team with a history of winning gold medals in disciplines including swordplay and Tai Chi.
Jing Li’s credentials and recognition include the Best Coach award from UC Berkeley University and recognition from the Hollywood film industry. Documented achievements include being awarded China’s Wuying-level athlete title in 1996, winning gold medals in over ten Chinese and international Wushu events between 1993 and 1998, serving as a key athlete on the gold medal-winning team at the 8th National Games in 1998, and winning Tai Chi, straight sword, and spear at the 1998 International Wushu Competition. Additional honors include being voted Coach of the Year by university students in 2000, being featured as a prominent figure and best-selling cover personality in Kung Fu Magazine in 2002, and becoming a four-time All-Around Women’s Champion at the International Kung Fu Championship in the U.S. from 2002 to 2005. From 2000 to 2018, Jing Li served as chief judge for national and international Wushu competitions in the U.S. and joined the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) in Hollywood in 2002. Jing Li has participated in over 100 films, TV shows, commercials, and music videos, was awarded Person of the Year at the Hollywood AOF Film Festival in 2018, and was nominated as Outstanding Woman of the Year by a U.S. congressman in 2019. In 2019, Jing Li won the Golden Angel Award for Best Supporting Actress at the China-U.S. Film Festival, won the SAG Award for Best Stunt Design for Mulan in 2021, and in 2023 played Michelle Yeoh’s Kung Fu master in Everything Everywhere All at Once, which won Best Picture at the 95th Academy Awards. In 2023, Jing Li also won the SAG Award for Best Performance for Everything Everywhere All at Once. The academy is described as combining martial arts excellence with the art of performance, is known for a professional ethos and championship accomplishments, and focuses on enhancing martial arts skills and exploring the world of action cinema.
