About
Art Experience - Center for Creative Education offers after-school and weekend art classes, seasonal art camps, and Art Experience nights and workshops. The program also hosts private parties and events, including birthday parties for kids and adults, as well as fundraisers, charity events, and corporate team-building workshops. In addition, it provides art portfolio and college application development, along with creative writing and college essay coaching.

• Schedule: Weekly after-school art classes for K–12 students, with flexible 60- or 90-minute options
• Price: $20 try-out class; $20 trial class (children only)
For nearly 20 years, Art Experience has been a creative home for the South Bay community and teaches artists of all ages with a focus on K–12 education. The studio’s philosophy focuses on the creative process, not just the final piece, and aims to cultivate artistic skill, a strong sense of self, and creative perspective. Students are assessed using the CA State Board of Education visual art standards and placed at the appropriate level, and lesson plans are rooted in the engineering design process. Art Experience is led by founder and art director Lee-Jean Lin, who has spent over 20 years helping children build confidence, creativity, and problem-solving skills through art. Staff bring backgrounds in fine art, art education, psychology, child development, systems engineering, and corporate design, and the program manages student accounts through MyMusicStaff. Lee-Jean regularly presents her projects at parent (docent) workshops through programs such as “Art at Your Fingertip,” “Torrance Adventures in Art,” and “South Bay Hands on Art,” benefiting over 40,000 children across the South Bay. Her work has been recognized with a Certificate of Congressional Recognition from Congressman Ted Lieu and an award from the South Bay Chinese Women Association for her contributions to art education and community service.
