Truckee River United Futbol Club Competitive Soccer offers competitive soccer through league play, tournaments, and focused training. The program includes year-round development that combines league play, tournaments, and training as part of the club’s competitive soccer pathway.

Since 2002, Truckee River United Futbol Club has been the home of competitive soccer in the Truckee and greater North Lake Tahoe region. The club’s mission is to provide year-round, highly competitive soccer programs, develop soccer as a sport and a culture, and promote a positive environment where sportsmanship and teamwork are highly valued. The club provides premier-level coaching and training opportunities and works to improve players’ athletic ability as they are trained to their greatest potential. Truckee River United FC maintains membership in multiple leagues, including NorCal Premier and Great Basin Youth, and its methodology supports players from U9 to U19 as the region’s premier club for soccer development, training, and competition.
Copa de las Sierras is Truckee River United FC’s premier summer tournament and is open to boys and girls teams U9–U19. Copa de las Sierras offers competitive play in a fun, high-altitude setting. The club also hosts a Friday Night Out fundraiser with food, music, games, and raffle prizes, including a Palisades Tahoe season pass.
TRU FC relies on support and donations to ensure all players who wish to participate in competitive soccer are given the opportunity, and donations support the growth of the club and its year-round, highly competitive soccer programs for youth in the Truckee and greater North Lake Tahoe region. The club creates a positive environment that promotes social values and giving back to the community.
One parent shared, “I have to say that being with this team has been such a blessing and gift for our family, especially our daughter! We deeply appreciate the coaching staff, the incredible team of young players, and all the families. Thank you for so warmly, kindly, and genuinely making us feel part of the team.” Another parent said, “We are very grateful to have spent this season with you and the local crew!
