Tustin Dance Center has served dancers from Tustin and throughout Orange County since 1978 and has served the greater Tustin area for over 35 years. The program is led by Ms. Kelly, owner and director of Tustin Dance Center. The teaching staff is described as talented and professional and is dedicated to providing dancers of all ages and abilities with the highest level of technique in a positive, family-friendly environment, and every dancer is given the opportunity to advance their individual skills and meet their individual goals.
Kindermusik classes at Tustin Dance Center are described as research-based and award winning, specializing in child development. Upon graduating from the Kindermusik program at age 7, students can read and play several songs on the Glockenspiel, the Dulcimer, and the Recorder. Kindermusik classes are also described as award winning.
Performing groups at Tustin Dance Center allow dancers to set goals and perfect skills while competing as a team or individually, and several dancers compete in the YAGP International Ballet competition. Dancers from Tustin Dance Center have been accepted to train over the summer at ballet programs such as the Joffrey Ballet, the American Ballet Theatre, Alvin Ailey, and Ballet West. DTYHD, TDC's affiliated non-profit, operates three programs — HeARTS, Dance for Life and The Legacy Project — year round.
The annual June Recital, the Nutcracker Ballet, and many community service shows keep Tustin Dance Center involved in the community. Studio rental is available to groups or individuals who want to work on choreography with a TDC instructor or their own choreographer. The registration form for camps requests a phone number, child's name, age, t-shirt size (with t-shirts not applicable or included with Kindermusik camp), and any allergies or special instructions for the child while attending camp.
