Ovation School for the Performing Arts

Ovation School for the Performing Arts offers the Youth Performing Arts Program, which includes voice, acting, dance, and musical theatre. It also offers June Performing Arts Workshop with singing, dancing, and acting, plus private music lessons in voice, piano, guitar, drums, and ukulele.

• Youth Performing Arts Program — 6–18 · Mon & Wed · 4:00–6:15 PM · $250 per month · Voice, Acting, Dance, Musical Theatre; twice a week after school. Open enrollment. Join anytime.
• Inclusive Performing Arts Classes — Adults of all ages & abilities · Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays · 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM · $15 per class · Acting, Musical Theater, and/or Voice in an inclusive, supportive and welcoming environment.
• Ovation Plus — Adults and teens with Special Needs · Wednesday or Thursday evenings · 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM · $160 per month · Full performing arts program with singing, acting, and dance classes.
• June Performing Arts Workshop — Grades 1–12 · Mon–Fri · 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM · $425 per session · Two immersive weeks of singing, dancing and acting while students create a musical documentary that culminates in a movie screening for family and friends.

About the provider

Founded in 2004, Ovation School for the Performing Arts uses the arts as a vehicle for community service, empathy, and lifelong character. Its mission is to help each student uncover a unique talent and voice, provide instruction in singing, dancing, acting, and theater production, and give back. The school was named 2026 Nonprofit of the Year by the Upland Chamber of Commerce and received a California State Senate Certificate of Recognition from Senator Eloise Gomez Reyes.

• Private Music Lessons — All ages and levels · Weekly · $35–$45 per week · One-on-one weekly instruction in Voice, Piano, Guitar, Drums and Ukulele with working professional musicians.
• Act III — 55+ · Friday mornings · 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM · $0 · Welcoming performing arts community for adults 55+ who want to sing, perform, connect and have fun together. No audition is needed to get started.
• Voice Lessons — Grades 3–12 · Weekly 30-minute lessons · $180 per month · Private vocal training in technique, breath, tone and repertoire for beginner through intermediate singers.
• Piano Lessons — Grades K–12 · Weekly 30-minute lessons · $160 per month · Foundational technique, reading and repertoire for new pianists through advancing students.
• Drum Lessons — Grades K–12 · Weekly 30-minute lessons · $160 per month · Rhythm, coordination and kit fundamentals with a professional working drummer.
• Guitar Lessons — Grades 2–12 · Weekly 30-minute lessons · $140 per month · Acoustic or electric instruction covering chords, technique and song study at the student's level.
• Ukulele Lessons — Grades 2–12 · Weekly 30-minute lessons · $140 per month · A friendly on-ramp to string instruments with chords, strumming patterns and song study.
• Sewing Classes — Grades 3–12 · Mon, Wed & Thu sessions available · $135 per month · Learn the basics of sewing with professional seamstress and costume designer Patty Smith in a small, hands-on setting.

Open enrollment. Join anytime. Tuition covers only part of what it takes to run classes, productions, and scholarships. Scholarships are mentioned. No audition is needed for Act III.
