Villa Park Little League states that it supports the National Little League philosophy and has made minor adjustments to certain playing rules. The National Little League organization is described as being dedicated to serving youth through its baseball program, offering a healthy outlet for activity and training in a supportive community environment, focusing on nurturing children into responsible and caring citizens, encouraging them to set goals and enhance their lives as they prepare for future roles in society, and instilling the fundamentals of teamwork and fair play. The league is open to children between the ages of 4 and 14 as of August 31 of each year, and is open to players who live or go to school within established physical boundaries, subject to rules and required parental support, with player candidates required to have parental or legal guardian consent.
The BOLA Performance Camp is led by former MLB player Jeremy Reed and his staff. Villa Park Little League notes that Hits + Hops is a VPLL fundraiser at Chapman Crafted, with a portion of the proceeds going toward improving fields and equipment.
The league specifies that no pets of any size or kind are allowed on the fields at any time except service animals, and that no smoking, including vapor cigarettes, is allowed on Orange Unified School District property. E-bikes are strictly prohibited on any grass areas, and dedicated E-bike parking is located on the track by the AA bullpen. The league states that no parking is allowed along Featherhill Dr. and Dodson Way. It also notes that Orange Unified School District prohibits vehicles, fireworks, archery, guns and knives, golf practice, model airplanes, bicycle riding, skateboards, roller skates, roller blades, alcohol, drugs, tobacco, other motorized equipment, and any other activity threatening the safety of persons and property on campus. Families are asked, if they are enjoying sunflower seeds, not to spit shells on the ground and to use a cup to dispose of them, and to ensure all trash is placed in bins.
