Vista's Best Summer Camp is part of North County Self Defense Summer Camp and has been in business for over 28 years. The leadership team includes Shihan Moss, Mr. Moss, Mr. Pulse, Ms. Alyx, Mrs. Moss, and Mr. Ellis. Staff members have professional-level CPR and first aid training, and background checks are completed on all staff. The camp limits the number of campers enrolled, keeps campers in groups by age, and holds an orientation with all campers every day of camp. The program offers online registration, and parents can visit a Facebook group for photos and updates. Testimonials from parents describe staff as professional, patient, kind, and focused on character building, with counselors who keep kids active with activities such as dodgeball, gaga, karate classes, swim club, and weekly themes.
