Castle Rock Arabians is a family-owned and operated ranch that provides lessons for riders of all ages and experience levels. The program offers private lessons, group rides in 22 wilderness areas, day camps, selected overnight camps for advanced riders, and an apprenticeship program.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Lesson and camp options are available Tuesday–Sunday from 9:00 AM–5:00 PM from September through May, and Monday–Saturday from 9:00 AM–5:00 PM from June through August.
Castle Rock Arabians has been developing equestrians since 1971. The operation has expanded to an additional 10 acres that include 2 riding arenas, which are used for day camps and selected overnight camps for advanced riders. Owner Nancy Dupont and Manager and Head Instructor Rebeca Mendez lead the program, and Rebeca Mendez is CHA Certified with a 3rd level CHA certificate. Nancy Dupont works with organizations such as the Diablo Arabian Horse Association, The Amigos De Anza Equestrian Drill Team, The Equestrian Center of Walnut Creek, and the East Bay Regional Parks District, and she formed a partnership with the East Bay Regional Park District in the late 1990s to support the expansion of the operation.
