About

Preschool Programs takes place alongside the work of Lindsay Wildlife Rehabilitation Hospital, which treats injured and orphaned wild animals and connects people with wildlife to inspire responsibility and respect for the world shared with animals. The hospital is open every day to provide free veterinary care to native California wildlife and treats more than 5,500 wild animals each year. Care for these animals takes place both on-site and at the homes of trained volunteers, with animals brought in by members of the public and the county animal service agency.

• Schedule: Hospital patient intake hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. every day.
• Price: All services provided by the wildlife hospital are free of charge, although donations are gratefully accepted.

Lindsay Wildlife Rehabilitation Hospital is the first and among the largest wildlife rehabilitation centers in the United States. More than 98 percent of the animals treated at the hospital are admitted due to adverse contact with human activity. Approximately 350 volunteers donate 60,000 hours of service in the hospital each year. Before bringing an animal, families are asked to contact the Hospital Hotline at (925) 659-8156 or email [email protected] for additional information and advice.
