Wasco Recreation and Parks District Youth Sports & Programs includes Zin Zumba classes, Tiny Hoopers Basketball, Junior Hoopers Basketball, a Junior Baseball League 15u Division, and a Junior Softball League 15U Division. The program also offers a Wasco Fit Club and a Community Clean-Up Event as part of its activities.
• Ages: 5–15 years old
• Schedule: Free ZIN Zumba classes are offered every Wednesday and Friday from 6–7pm; the Recreation Office is open Monday–Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm
• Price: Residents may dispose of bulky waste items at no cost during the Free Bulky Waste Clean-Up Event on April 25 at Barker Park
Wasco Recreation and Parks District is a Special District operating under Section 5780 of the California State Code. Its mission is to create recreational opportunities for growth and enhancement by developing diverse services and programs that promote citizen involvement and a strong sense of community while striving to increase the social, cultural and physical well-being of the community. The district relies on the kindness and support of many local businesses and individuals to sponsor programs and events, and it invites the community to participate in the Free Bulky Waste Clean-Up Event on April 25 at Barker Park. Free ZIN Zumba classes are available to the community every Wednesday and Friday from 6–7pm. Field/diamond and shelter reservations have resumed with updated procedures, protocols and forms, and fields/diamonds and shelters that are not reserved are available on a first come, first served basis, with paid reservations and Wasco Recreation and Parks District programs taking priority.
