Hoops University Basketball is directed by Keith Davis, a former collegiate and international professional basketball player who also provides one-on-one, personalized training in private lessons. The coaching staff includes former and current players as well as local physical education teachers, and the program typically has one coach per 10 campers. Groups are generally divided by age, with additional consideration based on talent level if necessary, subject to camp director approval, and boys and girls participate together with coaches creating parity in each group and ensuring that everyone receives equal playing time and attention.

Hoops University provides comprehensive youth basketball training programs that include year-round classes emphasizing sportsmanship, camaraderie, and fundamentals, as well as summer camps described as the starting point for becoming a stellar competitor and a well-rounded leader on and off the court. One-on-one private training is described as the best way to get the ultimate personal attention, and the program is described as giving families an outlet that will keep kids physically fit while engaging them in new and challenging experiences. Camp features include HU merch, awards and competitions, the Parents vs Campers Game, and the HU Skills Challenge, and campers are asked to bring basketball shoes, a towel, shorts, socks, and a water bottle, while the program provides basketballs and other training equipment.

The mission of Hoops University is to provide youth basketball programs for children ages 6–14 and all skill levels that are professionally managed and designed to help kids build confidence, master the fundamentals of basketball, and have fun, with a stated mission to ensure that every child has access to this experience regardless of financial situation. The organization notes history dating to at least 2014 and 2023. Community involvement includes sponsors who have committed their support to elevate the camp experience.

Parent and camper feedback includes a parent congratulating Keith Davis on another successful year and recognizing how he is giving back his love of basketball through teaching and coaching. Another parent states that their daughter learned valuable skills on and off the court at the Hoops University basketball camp. A camper describes Keith Davis as the best coach and camp ever and expresses appreciation for the time and effort put into helping them become the best player they could be.
