West Sacramento Soccer Club was founded in 1973 as a 4-H community program and later developed into East Yolo Soccer Club before changing its name to West Sacramento Soccer Club in the mid-1990s. It is described as a registered non-profit, community-based youth soccer organization. The club lists core values of Accountability, Dedication, Integrity, Passion, and Respect.
