Kang's Sunrise Tae Kwon Do offers martial arts instruction that includes Tae Kwon Do, Hapkido, kickboxing training, and self defense. The program is described as the Home of Black Belt and includes specific programs called Sunrise Entrant, Black Belt Club, and Leadership. An attitude homework stripes program is also offered at Kang's Sunrise Tae Kwon Do.
The program has been operating as Kang's Sunrise Tae Kwon Do since 2015. Head Master Min Su Kang leads the program and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Taekwondo from Kyung Won (also known as Ka-Chun University) University in Seoul, Korea, earned in 2004. His credentials include 6th Degree Tae Kwon Do and a Tae Kwon Do Master’s Certification and Master’s Referee Certification from the World Tae Kwon Do Federation, as well as 7th Degree Hapkido and a Hapkido Master’s Certification and Master’s Referee Certification from the World Hapkido Martial Arts Federation. He also serves as General Secretary of California for the World Hapkido Martial Arts Federation. Documented competition results include 1st Place Welter Weight and 1st Place Command Post at the Korea Army Corp Taekwondo Tournament in 2001–2002, 2nd Place at the Secretary of Defense Flag Tournament, and 1st Place Welter Weight at the International Istanbul Hapkido Championship in 2005. The institution’s stated mission is to develop programs for all types of individuals through MAUSA Tae Kwon Do and its teachings, with a focus on becoming a champion of one’s life, developing full potential mentally, physically, and philosophically, being successful in education, family, and work, and aiming for self-improvement, happiness, harmony, and world peace.
