Hands & Hoofs

Hands & Hoofs offers kids day camps that include horse groundwork such as learning horse behavior, grooming, and leading horses through obstacle courses. Camp days also feature creative arts and crafts with horse and animal-themed projects, barnyard animal interactions with goats, sheep, donkeys, and a llama, and a Horse Kiss Painting activity where horses create art with color-dyed apples. The program also hosts a Christmas Fundraiser craft fair and bake sale with kid zone activities and chances to meet horses, donkeys, goats, and other animals.

• Schedule: Full-day kids day camps on select dates, with upcoming spring camp dates on March 21, April 19, May 16, and June 14, plus a Christmas Fundraiser craft fair and bake sale on December 6, 2025 from 12:00–4:00 pm

Hands & Hoofs states that it believes every child deserves the chance to experience connecting with animals regardless of family income. The program uses an Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) approach and offers small group horse activities with 1:1 ratios during horse activities. In addition to free day camps for ages 7–14, Hands & Hoofs offers Little Campers programs for children under 7, school field trips for educational groups, adult programs serving veterans, LGBTQ+, and neurodivergent communities, and a Barn Bees program for advanced learning for returning campers. Hands & Hoofs is able to offer specialty programs to other non-profits and local organizations such as Special Olympics and Girls and Boy Scouts, and Community Partnerships programs can be customized based on the needs of partners. For upcoming spring camp dates, families are told that detailed preparation information about what to bring will be sent after registration.
