About

Oak Tree Learning Center includes activities such as baking a pie to understand measurements and planting a garden to explore life cycles. Children take part in STEAM-based activities, gardening, baking, homework help, and projects that tie school to real-life. The program uses the Brightwheel app for real-time check-ins and parent communication.

• Ages: 0–11 years old
• Schedule: All-day care 6:30AM – 6PM

Oak Tree Learning Center describes itself as an academic-focused all-day preschool that is reliable, affordable, and free through CCRC, TAD, and Crystal Stairs, with a focus on helping children and their families get ahead in school and in life. The program notes that it is a nurturing sanctuary where affection and education go hand-in-hand and that play is purposeful and every experience is a step toward kindergarten readiness, using a research-backed, practical curriculum called the MAE (Meaningful Assessment-ready Experiences) framework and a Learning by Doing world through MAE curriculum. It offers nutritious breakfast, lunch, and snacks, including a balanced breakfast, lunch, and two snacks daily that meet federal nutritional guidelines, and it is a financial assistance partner with private and subsidized pay options accessible through CCRC, CALWorks, Crystal Stairs, and more.

The program highlights a focus on helping economically challenged and working parents, especially Black, Latino or low-income families. Oak Tree Learning Center also offers a Parent Hub for family resources, a monthly podcast with expert conversations with Mrs. C and invited specialists, a weekly blog on creative learning and social skills for ages 3–4–5 years, and monthly events with guest speakers and local vendors sharing helpful resources. A new campus is noted as coming soon to Texas.

One parent, Alex S., shares that their daughter has grown and developed a larger vocabulary and that they now spend time counting and adding items on walks while she talks about her day at school, and that the child always tries to say goodbye to Mrs. C before she leaves. Another caregiver, Tia McFrazier, reports that her nephew went to Oak Tree Learning Center and that the staff were great and caring, communicated well, and created a welcoming environment.
