RISE Inc. Youth Programs are part of RISE, Inc., a non-profit public benefit corporation that provides after school programs funded through the California Department of Education and Workforce Innovation programs for youth. The programs are included in a broader set of services that range from pre-school experiences through senior citizen recreation and resource programs. RISE, Inc. also provides emergency food, clothing, and a variety of resource and referral services to all community members.
• Schedule: RISE offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, and closed for lunch from 12:00pm to 1:00pm.
RISE, Inc. organized as a public benefit non-profit corporation in March 1987 and has provided a wide range of social services to local communities for over 30 years. The organization serves the rural community to enhance quality of life and opportunity for self-sufficiency. RISE, Inc. is described as a “one stop shop” for social services in Western Rural Yolo County and a resiliency catalyst for young people in the community. Its specialty is rural program design and delivery, with a focus on engaging the community in active self-determination and motivated self-sufficiency. The founders of RISE, Inc. and Co-Executive Directors for 25 years are Tammy Fullerton and Cathie Wicks. RISE, Inc. has a loyal Board of Directors, employs program-specific staff, completes annual audits, and manages numerous contractual and grant-funded programs that support residents and community development in the Winters and Esparto-Capay Valley Region of Western Yolo County.
RISE, Inc. provides and delivers services to the entire population of Western Rural Yolo County, and the Winters and Esparto-Capay Valley Region encourages human and social services to be clustered under the RISE Community Service Center umbrella. One of its partners is the Yocha Dehe Community Fund, which funds summer recreation programs, senior citizen services, and mental health services. The organization reports a strong record of financial stability, budget management, and administrative capability, and notes that incubating multiple services and programs together has increased efficiency and is cost-effective.
