Art Departure Classes & Workshops

Art Departure Classes & Workshops offers art classes and workshops that include options such as art parties, birthday events, and corporate events. The program provides a full studio experience for artists of all ages and abilities, where artists may choose different materials and subjects in a nurturing environment with adult artists as guides. Art Departure also offers open adult “Art Parties” throughout the year, and creating with friends is described as “the perfect Saturday night date.”

• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Gallery hours Tuesday–Friday afternoons, with Saturday available by appointment

Art Departure focuses on creativity and personal growth through the medium of art making. The Art Departure Shop includes many handmade and unique items, with a focus on local artists and vintage treasures, and Art Departure supports the artistic community. The leadership team includes Artist Owner and Proprietor Jaye Weiner; Gallerist and Art Instructor Michele Hausman; and Art Instructors Heide Briggs and Joshua Lake. Jaye Weiner was an Art Specialist for 9 years at CHIME Charter School, an inclusive education model school in LAUSD for children with disabilities, and was the owner of J’s Art Studio in Dallas for 10 years.
