Lil’ Dragons at Team Karate Centers

Lil’ Dragons at Team Karate Centers offers a Toddlers Class where guardians and toddlers work together on the mat using fun games and activities to learn important social and listening skills and to understand structured play. The program also includes Lil’ Dragons Karate classes that teach foundational techniques such as different kicks, punches, and blocks, while working on motor skills, listening, teamwork, focus, and coordination. In addition to in-house classes, the program offers enrichment programs for schools, churches, and other groups and can bring its class to those sites.

Team Karate Centers has been the leading martial arts school in the valley for over 40 years and is described as more than just martial arts and as a place of fellowship and support, with a history of entire families achieving black belt together. The Lil’ Dragons program’s instructors are all members of the school’s advanced ranks, and the Head of Lil’ Dragons at Team Karate Centers is Rian Kountzhouse. The mission of Lil’ Dragons at Team Karate Centers is summed up as “FOCUS - RESPECT - CONFIDENCE,” with a curriculum that works on motor skills, listening, and teamwork, teaches kids under the age of 6 the fundamentals of karate, and stresses the avoidance of physical conflict with others, using what is learned in class only as a last resort. The program’s enrichment offerings for schools, churches, and other groups can be catered toward different class sizes and specific needs.
