Shihan Ventsislav Sholin, founder of Elite Martial Arts Karate Dojo, is a former Balkan and Bulgarian National Champion, has spent over 25 years practicing karate, and has reached the rank of 5th Dan Black Belt. In its kids karate classes, the program states that it maintains a very positive and non-competitive environment and focuses on self-confidence, self-defense, patience, teamwork, balance, and increased focus that can help kids do better in school. EMA teaches Shinkyokushin Karate (New Kyokushin) and Brazilian jiu-jitsu, with a stated main goal of providing quality martial arts education to young, motivated people, and its classes focus on developing self-confidence and connecting the mind and body. The program describes Shinkyokushin karate’s main goal as the education of young people through hard work, dedication, and respect.
