For the past 30 years, The End Result Tutoring has successfully helped over 10,000 local families, and it is a group of educators that has been working together for the past 25 years. The program uses a result-based method of one-on-one tutoring, with programs aligned to California State Standards and test developers, and offers test prep programs for AP, SAT, ACT, HSPT, and ISEE. Instructors are handpicked, thoroughly trained in the program’s result-based tutoring methods, and the organization states that being an End Result tutor is more than tutoring, with tutors dedicated to creating a difference in the lives of every student.
The End Result Tutoring Centers states that its focus is on what each student aims to achieve, with goals arranged student by student on an individualized basis in a one-on-one format. Reported outcomes from the program include SAT Boot Camps increasing students’ scores by 150–450 points, students being exposed to over 600 SAT questions, a 180+ point increase on SAT scores, 2 or more grade levels of growth in English and math, and an overall student GPA average of 3.5 for the summer–fall of 2017. Families can pick their location and time for ACT Boot Camps, SAT Boot Camps, ISEE/HSPT Workshops, School Homework Club, Get Ready for High School Study Skills, and College Workshops, and online instruction is offered to meet most student needs and family budgets.
Parent testimonials report that the program accommodated a student’s needs by changing tutors, that a student with special needs was able to understand the material well, and that another student showed demonstrable improvements in physics and on the SAT. One parent reports that after weekly tutoring during a busy senior year, their child graduated maxima cum laude with a 4.4 GPA and a 2100 SAT score and that they felt the program augmented the student’s regular education.
