YMCA of Orange County Camps offers outdoor adventures, hands-on learning, and a variety of daily activities that include sports, swim, STEM projects, adventure programs, arts & crafts, fitness, activity clubs, team building, service learning, and field trips. The program includes resident “sleepaway” camp options that provide outdoor experiences, daily activities, team building, and room and board. YMCA of Orange County Camps offers spring, summer, and overnight camps for children and teens, and every day is described as being designed to nurture the whole child in mind, body, and spirit.

With over 150 years of serving communities through health and wellness, child and youth development, swimming, sports, family programs, events, and more, the YMCA of Orange County has a long history behind its camps. The mission of the YMCA of Orange County is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. The leadership team includes a Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operations Officer, Chief Administration Officer, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, several Executive Directors for local family YMCAs, Directors of Operations for Child & Youth Development, an Associate Executive Director for Adventure Guides, and an Associate Executive Director for Camp E.L.K. The organization states that its purpose is to strengthen communities through programs committed to youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility throughout Orange County, East San Gabriel Valley, Pomona Valley, and Riverside County, and that as a charitable service organization, donations, grants, and legacy gifts support making programs open to all regardless of financial circumstances. The camps include resident programs that bring children of different backgrounds together for a week of exploration and adventure, and they also offer Inclusion and New Horizons programs that recognize the need for some participants to receive specialized services, care, and experiences. The organization states that its community programs are open to everyone, regardless of circumstances, background, age, race, economic status, or income.
