Art Steps offers year-round art classes that include classical drawing, painting, clay sculpture, paper sculpture, art history, and figure drawing. Students work step-by-step on a wide variety of subject matter using media such as pastel, color pencil, marker, graphite, charcoal, watercolor, acrylic, oil, and more. Classes are described as relaxed and respectful, with teachers working with each student on individual artistic skills.

Art Steps describes its program as individualized and year-round, with lively and engaging classes just for kids and a foundational program that builds strong drawing skills for teens and adults. Kind, caring teachers work one-on-one and hands-on with each student, building one skill upon another from simple to more complex. Students start with simple projects and, at their own pace, learn more sophisticated skills until they become highly skilled at painting in oil. All summer long and during special school-year weeks, the curriculum is enriched with lessons in clay and paper sculpture, art history, and figure drawing. Art Steps reports serving over 1,000 weekly students and having mentored more than 88,000 young artists in classes and camps over 25 years. The program offers a free introductory class. Its curriculum has been named one of the top five art programs nationwide with a Disney Motif award.
