Yorba Linda Gymnastics Academy offers progressive classes for ages two through adult, with student placement based on skill level and a maximum of ten students per class. The program is developed in three directions: Physics and Motor Skills, Gymnastics Tumbling for Cheer and Parkour, and Team Gymnastics for Boys and Girls, and is based on the USA School of Gymnastics and Acrobatics and modern techniques recognized throughout the world. The gym includes two gymnastic pits, top of the line equipment, a Tumble Trak, foam pit, dance floor, and a gym area filled with specially designed tot-sized equipment and obstacle courses used for Preschool and Mommy and Me classes.
Girls-1 classes teach the basics of gymnastics and work on vault, floor, beam, bars, trampoline, and foam pit, while Girls-2 classes are for gymnasts who have completed Girls-1 or have prior gymnastics experience. Preschool classes use interactive game playing along with beginning strength and endurance training. The parkour class is suitable for both beginners and those with prior parkour experience and focuses on jumps, wall climbs, advanced tricks and movements, flexibility, reflexes, and self-confidence. Competitive boys team members practice 6–15 hours per week.
