Center Stage Productions is a Youth Musical Theatre Company in the Yuba-Sutter Area. It was founded in 2022 by Morgan and Corey Kersting. Its mission is to deliver high-quality musical theatre youth productions to the community showcasing local youth singers, actors, and dancers. A High School Intern Program was added in 2024, where summer interns participate from start to finish of Junior Productions and assist the Junior Team with auditions, choreography, set design, costuming, blocking, tech, and more. The High School Intern Program supports directing teams and gives high school students leadership roles. The program states that it provides a safe, fun, and educational environment to explore musical theater and expand skills. Workshops include theatre history and etiquette, portfolio building, headshots, audition skills, and resume writing. A published description from the Appeal-Democrat calls it “a rigorous training program that covers all aspects of musical theater.”
