The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of the San Luis Valley is to enable all young people, especially those who need the organization most, to realize their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens of a richly diverse world. The leadership team includes Aaron Miltenberger (CEO & President, Co-Executive Director of Resource Development and Community Engagement), Lola Garcia (Human Resources Director, Co-Executive Director of Operations and Programs), Adam Lopez (Operations Director), Garrett Marquez (Director of Compliance & Training), Cassidy Pacheco (Director of Trauma-Informed Services), Jonathan Hazard (Health Resource Navigator), Tyler Parsons (Finance Director), and Tamra Jaquez (Alamosa Unit Director). Aaron Miltenberger received his Master in Higher Education Administration and Leadership from Adams State University in 2012. Cassidy Pacheco received her Masters in Social Work in 2021. Tyler Parsons has a BS in Accounting from MSU Denver and a Master of Professional Accounting from CSU Global, and was a Senior Performance Auditor at the US Department of Justice, Office of the Inspector General, where he led audits of multimillion-dollar grants awarded to non-profits and governmental agencies. Boys & Girls Clubs of the San Luis Valley is described as one of the most well known youth organizations in the San Luis Valley and relies on the generosity of supporters. Within the organization, there is a comprehensive K–12 social-emotional learning program experience through staff background. Jonathan Hazard provides case management support for Boys & Girls Clubs of the San Luis Valley families and communities. Tyler Parsons is described as having a deep love for the San Luis Valley and being passionate about serving the community, and Tamra Jaquez is described as being excited to work with the community of Alamosa and deepen her roots with the San Luis Valley. One program partner, Autumn McCalm, states that she has grown up since coming to the club three years ago, has made many friends, is now a junior staff member, plans to continue at the club until college, and says the things she has learned there have had a big impact on her life.
