Young Chefs Culinary Camps

Young Chefs Culinary Camps gives participants hands-on workshops that focus on cooking a range of different dishes each day. Campers spend time learning basic cooking skills, fundamental culinary techniques, kitchen safety, and chef knife skills.

• Ages: 11–18 years old
• Schedule: All camp sessions run 10am–1:00pm unless otherwise specified.
• Price: Sibling discount of 10% is available for all camps.

Young Chefs Culinary Camps is part of The Seasoned Chef Cooking School, which has been successfully teaching home and recreational cooks in the Denver area for over 25 years and is a division of The Witherspoon Group. The camps are celebrating 25 successful years teaching Young Chefs, and each camp session is led by an experienced Chef Instructor with a maximum attendance of 16 participants per camp. Director and Executive Chef Dan Witherspoon, Owner, Director and Lead Instructor at The Seasoned Chef Cooking School, is a professional chef for 39 years and has been teaching culinary skills for half of that time. The Gourmet Spoon is now operating as The Seasoned Chef. The program offers a wide range of ethnic styles and specialty cooking classes for different interests in an approachable, fun environment. The Seasoned Chef currently has active relationships with schools including Colorado School of Mines, The Ricks Center at DU, Colorado Academy, Denver Academy, The Challenge School, and Denver Public Schools. Prior to attending, a parent or guardian must fill out a waiver, alert The Seasoned Chef to any food allergies or special needs, arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in, and make sure each Young Chef is dressed in appropriate clothing with closed-toed shoes.
