5430 Kids is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization with the goal of increasing opportunities for young people of all backgrounds in the Colorado community to be introduced, to learn, to train, and to compete to reach their potential in tennis. It is a Boulder nonprofit and a charitable foundation that focuses on teaching life and leadership skills through tennis, the sport of a lifetime. The foundation believes that tennis is the best first sport for children to learn that they can play their whole lives.

The organization has provided on-site tennis “PE classes” working directly with PE teachers at local elementary schools for 10 years and has started to work with the St. Vrain Valley School District at Legacy Elementary. It offers programs that provide healthy lifestyle choices and leadership opportunities through academic and athletic pursuits. 5430 Kids helps to provide tennis equipment for able-bodied kids and kids with physical disabilities, helps with coaching assistance, sponsors tournament fees, and offers mentoring and advice for those needing help negotiating the academic and athletic pathways in the college recruitment process.

5430 Kids provides a pathway for young players, both able-bodied and kids with disabilities, to reach for their potential from junior and high school tennis to world championships. The foundation founded the first-of-its-kind Wheelchair Tennis Junior Program for kids with physical disabilities interested in learning to play wheelchair tennis. It has helped to develop five collegiate wheelchair tennis players and two of the top junior wheelchair tennis players in the world: Sabina Czauz (ITF Girls Wheelchair #3) and Tomas Majetic (ITF Boys Wheelchair #8). The organization has provided scholarships for kids in need to the High Performance Tennis Program at Rocky Mountain Tennis Center and has sponsored tennis tournaments in the Greater Boulder Area.
