Girls Mountain Biking Camp Boulder focuses on mountain biking, including learning mountain biking skills, trail riding, and bike maintenance. Campers practice specific skills such as properly fitting a helmet and bike, basic bike commands, bunny hops, track stands, braking, shifting, riding on rolling single and double track terrain, descending and ascending trail sections, riding narrow and winding trails, and changing flat tires.

Girls Mountain Biking Camp Boulder runs in a girls-only environment where campers focus on a personal development theme each day. Adventures are customized so campers progress as their comfort and skill level grow, and transportation to and from recreation areas is provided. Campers are strongly encouraged to use their own tuned bikes that fit well and are appropriate for dirt trails, and campers must be able to bike confidently without training wheels on a dirt surface to register; bike rental is available and selected during registration. The camp provides access to top-of-the-line gear specifically sized for kids and is backed by the Avid4 Adventure Guarantee.
Instructors are described as insatiable outdoors experts who love adventuring and working with kids, are all 18 and older, and have serious safety and skills training. Avid4 Adventure’s leadership includes Founder David Secunda, who is a former president of the Outdoor Industry Association and a 25-year veteran of the outdoor education industry. The organization states that it believes in the transformative power of the outdoors and that at Avid4 Adventure kids build confidence, make new friends, and master essential skills in activities like paddling, biking, rock climbing, and hiking.
