Avid4 Adventure Camps offers a range of outdoor activities including survival skills, navigation, animal tracking, tool making, fire building and safety, hiking, canoeing, paddling a canoe, reading terrain to find water, purifying water, mountain biking, kayaking, rock climbing, paddling, biking, stand up paddle board, and hiking. Campers spend a full week exploring and learning essential survival skills to keep them self-reliant and safe in the wilderness. Survival Skills Day Camp campers do not need any previous survival or outdoor experience.

The camp runs one-week sessions from Monday through Friday, with camp hours from 9 AM to 3 PM and extended care available from 8 AM to 5:30 PM. Transportation to and from recreation areas is provided, and campers get access to top-of-the-line gear specifically sized for kids. Campers are grouped by grade range, with 2nd–4th graders and 5th–7th graders receiving customized instruction.
Instructors are all 18 and older, described as insatiable outdoors experts with impeccable credentials and serious safety and skills training. The leadership team includes founder David Secunda, a former president of the Outdoor Industry Association and a 25-year veteran of the outdoor education industry. The program states that it hires committed, experienced instructors, uses professional-caliber equipment, and transports campers to local recreation areas they can continue to explore. It also states that it does everything in its power to keep kids safe while teaching them to take calculated, well-communicated risks and teaches campers solid skills, including how to use sound judgment and problem-solving in their lives.
Avid4 Adventure Camps states that it believes in the transformative power of the outdoors. The organization operates under a Special Use authorization from the National Forest Service and is an Equal Opportunity Employer. It is a Certified B Corp, is accredited by the American Camp Association, and has been named among Colorado Parent’s Top 5 Sports Camps.
