About
Groundworks Art Lab Summer Camps offer hands-on studio activities such as clay and ceramics hand-building, building functional pottery and creative sculpture, and wheel-throwing with trimming and glazing. Campers also take part in relief printing, block carving, printmaking, stamp making, screen printing, collage, printing with Legos, woodworking with woodworking tools, and blacksmithing. Summer camps invite kids to explore clay, metal, wood, print, or glass in medium-focused camps that use real tools and materials.
• Ages: 6–16 years old
• Schedule: 5-day Hand-Building, Sculpture, Wheel, Print, and Wood Camps offered between May 26 and August 7, with morning (9:00am–12:00pm) and afternoon (1:00pm–4:00pm) options and supervised lunch between camps; one May 26–29 session is a pro-rated 4-day camp
• Price: 5-Day Hand-Building Camps: $245; 5-Day Sculpture Camps: $345; 5-Day Wheel Camps: $375; 5-Day Print Camps: $305; 5-Day Wood Camps: $375; Supervised Lunch / Extended Pick-Up/Drop-off: $25 per week
Each student enrolled in camp can sign up for supervised lunch and must bring their own lunch to eat between morning and afternoon camps from 12:00pm to 1:00pm. Scholarships for Youth Summer Camps are offered, with funds limited and one scholarship per child for one camp in 2026. Groundworks Art Lab partners with a number of local organizations to provide free and reduced-rate programs outside the studio to underserved members of the community and acknowledges it is located at the confluence of Hinono’eino (Arapahoe), Tsitsistas (Cheyenne), and Nuuchi-u (Ute) tribal land in Boulder, Colorado.
