Batter Up Baseball Summer Camps offers general skills development in baseball through activities such as pitching, bunting, defense, base-running strategies, and baseball games. Camp days include tournaments, baseball fun, park play, rest and snack breaks, and coaching clinics, along with try-out evaluations, volunteering, leadership development, and summer job opportunities for student-athletes.
• Ages: 4–18 years old
• Schedule: Summer camps run Monday–Friday with full-day options from 9am–3pm and Little Ballers half-day camps from 9am–12pm or 1–3pm
• Price: $399+tax for 1 player/1 week; $699+tax for 1 player/2 weeks; $649+tax for 2 players/1 week; $899+tax for 2 players/2 weeks; pre-register by March 31, 2020 and save $50
Batter Up Baseball Summer Camps uses a game-based approach with highly-qualified coaches, lightly-controlled scrimmages, and a drill and skill portion of the day that includes friendly competitions. The Little Batter's Club is a half-day program for players ages 4–6 years and includes baseball fun, park play, and rest and snack breaks, and Little Ballers can also choose either half-day or full-day camp. Tournaments are held every Wednesday, and the camp is open all holidays and open to boys and girls of all levels of play. Families can save on multiple weeks and on multiple players in the same family, and Batter Up Baseball’s Annual Membership Program gives every player in a family an annual pass to every week of Summer Camp, Fall Ball, Winter Program, and Spring Program, with bonus packages also available.
Batter Up Baseball launched its first summer camps in 1996 and has added winter programs, private instruction, team camps, and Girls Softball Camps over the years, with additional locations added in 2019 and 2024, including new locations in Colorado. Batter Up Baseball is described as the largest youth baseball camp in Canada and has now expanded to the United States, and it has teamed up with GameOnCamps.com for global outreach, with camps held in Africa, India, and Ukraine in baseball, hockey, soccer, and basketball. The mission of Batter Up Summer Camps is to focus on coaching players on the FUNdamentals of baseball and softball, using more than 30 years of camp experience and a mix of skills, drills, and a game-based approach to balance fun and competitiveness, with a stated “Kids First” philosophy that emphasizes players’ worth in who they are rather than how well they perform. One player, Shyon, shared that their favorite part is getting to play baseball games every day.
